Aziza Amy Poggi

Aziza Amy Poggi is a born talent with a background in music, singing, acting, casting assistant work, referring and teaching acting and modeling to new talent. She started out playing the piano at 10 with a passion for playing and singing. Though playing other peoples songs made her bored and she then took up modeling at 14, then quickly branched off into acting (15) then back into music in her early 20's. She studied under LA, NY and Chicago Casting Directors and teachers who have been successful in the business. 

Aziza looks at her art as a picture that needs to be painted with the right textures and colors to bring it to life. She is a real artist and truely grows from each experience she has on film, stage and in the classroom. She has brought to life roles ranging from drug junkee, serial killer, to your innocent girl next door.   Her appearance changes with simple makeup, hair do or clothing making it easy to cast her in a different roles.

She currently studies privately with a professional classical vocal coach. She has a sultry voice with a vocal range of 3 1/2. 

She has starred in local commercials, the movie "Broken" and also the Japanese tv show "Real Stories" to name a few.  She is a SAG Eligible actress and considered a professional film actress and singer. She also has assistant casting credits under Cathy Thomas and Maureen Dreher (CSA's)for Hollywood Films such as "Below" - Bruce Greenwood, "61" Directed By Billy Crystal and starring Thomas Jane, Berry Pepper, and Christopher McDonald and "Hardball" starring Keanu Reeves and Diane Lane.  She also has recently been appointed to The West Michigan Film and Video Alliance as member coordinator.

Dendura the band

Aziza fronts the progressive metal group Dendura. Their music has been featured in 7 films to date as of June 2006. Formed in 2004 and striving to make their music unique, the band used Aziza's Egyptian heritage (she is part Egyptian, Lebanese and Italian) into their sound and some of their lyrics as well as made it horror movie oriented but driving metal at the same time.
